If there’s one thing Sylvester Stallone knows how to do well, it is how to keep a franchise going.

Who, in all honesty, would have still thought there was life in the Rocky saga four decades on, or that there would be recent talk of projects such as Cliffhanger or Cobra returning?

Another on that list of course is Rambo, the Vietnam veteran turned vigilante and ‘force for good’ mercenary. Well, the great news is another action epic is on the way – Rambo: Last Blood (see what they did there…) and it is heading our way on September 20.

Here’s the synopsis, which doesn’t give much away:

Almost four decades after he drew first blood, Sylvester Stallone is back as one of the greatest action heroes of all time, John Rambo. Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. A deadly journey of vengeance, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD marks the last chapter of the legendary series.

And here’s a new trailer to whet the appetite – I know I’m up for it:
