I am pretty sure all horror fans – young and old – were stoked when the announcement came through for upcoming anthology horror Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, courtesy of director Andre Ovredal and, among others, Guillermo Del Toro.

In case it has passed you by, here’s the synopsis:

It’s l968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying tome.

Ovredal has the likes of Troll Hunter and the chilling The Autopsy Of Jane Doe on his resume so we are already up for this – and that’s before throwing in the likes of Del Toro.

To build anticipation for the release, Entertainment One UK have released a series of clips that certainly give a flavour of what to expect, so it’s only fair we show them below…

Pale Lady

Big Toe

Jangly

Red Spot

Safe to say we’re looking forward to this one…
