It certainly doesn’t give too much away, but the debut of the first trailer/footage from the upcoming Blade Runner sequel is just enough to get the juices flowing about the project.

Director Denis Villeneuve is in the director’s chair this time round (with Ridley Scott taking on an executive producer role), while Harrison Ford is joined by the likes of Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.

Here’s the synopsis:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

And here’t the teaser for the film that hits cinemas in October 2017:
