Deadly infection chiller Viral is set for an October release in the UK, perfectly timed to offer some Halloween thrills and spills.

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (of Catfish and Paranormal Activity fame), the flick is the latest offering from the horror conveyor belt that is Blumhouse productions.

Here’s the synopsis;

Following the outbreak of a parasitic virus that wipes out the majority of the human population, Emma and her sister Stacey find themselves separated from their parents as it reaches their neighbourhood. Quarantined with no connections to her family, Emma, with the help of her love interest Evan, fights to protect her infected sister and for her own survival.

The film stars the likes of Sofia Black D’Elia (Ben Hur) and Analeigh Tipton (Lucy) and gets a digital download on October 10, before a DVD release a week later.
