Being one of the few (or many, I’m not actually sure) that loved The Blair Witch Project when it landed on us all back in 1999, the news that Adam Wingard’s latest – originally titled The Woods – is actually a top-secret Blair Witch sequel is pretty cool.

I’m a massive fan of Wingard – in fact, I’d suggest anyone who doesn’t have time for You’re Next or The Guest doesn’t really like genre films, so this seems like a match in horror heaven – and if anyone can make us forget the turd that was Blair Witch 2, then he’s it.

The new trailer landed at Comic Con, basically tweaking the original (and enjoyable) ‘The Woods’ promo and giving it the Blair Witch makeover.

Set for a September 16 debut, here’s the trailer:
