We’re always up for checking out some classic horror on the big screen, so UK Horror Scene’s decision to throw a series of double bills in Manchester certainly gets the thumbs-up from us.

A four-night event that takes in the likes of Hammer, Stephen King and much more, UKHS have teamed up with AMC – and have even thrown in some guest speakers for good measure.

Here’s the press release:

“UK Horror Scene and AMC Manchester are proud to announce they have teamed up to bring Manchester horror fans a season of classic horror double-bills this April and May.

AMC Manchester is a 16 screen state-of-the-art cinema complex located in the iconic Great Northern Warehouse on Deansgate in central Manchester . Easy walking access to both Deansgate (5 mins) and Oxford Road (10 Mins) train stations and close to cheap weekend parking.

The Double-Bills will be shown on both the Saturday and the Sunday of each weekend so if you can’t make one then you can make another, or both! And make a day of it as there are many bars and restaurants situated within minutes of AMC.

Including films such as Evil Dead (81), From Dusk Till Dawn, Carrie, Christine, Fright Night, Scream, Dracula: Prince of Darkness and Bram Stoker’s Dracula then it will be amazing to see these classic films on the BIG screen in a comfortable, purpose built environment.

Each double-bill is just £10 advanced booking or £12 on the door and there will be guest speakers each night to introduce the films including UK Horror Scene staff and more. Also there will be on the night giveaways .
