Kate Shenton is another up-and-coming British horror director that we have our eye on, so the great news is her second feature, Egomaniac, is ready and raring to hit the market.

Here’s the official press release, and we’ve also included the new poster below the blurb:

‘Egomaniac will be heading to the European Film Market this week seeking sales and distribution. The second feature film by writer-director Kate Shenton has also unveiled it’s new poster ready for the market.

Egomaniac is a quirky dark comedy about a female horror filmmaker who is determined to make her zombie-horror-romantic-comedy. However everyone in the industry keeps telling her to put a talking dog in it. Desperate for funding, Catherine does whatever it takes to get her film made, but compromises can kill…

Egomaniac is a semi-autobiography based around Kate Shenton’s personal experiences as an emerging female horror film maker in the industry. It will be hitting the film festival circuit later this year.

Staring Nic Lamont and Adam Rhys-Davies and featuring horror favourites Laurence Harvey (Human Centipede 2 & 3) and Dan Palmer (Stalled) is the second feature film by writer-director Kate Shenton. Her previous work includes feature documentary ‘On Tender Hooks and short film festival hits ‘Gimp,’ ‘Send in the Clowns’ and ‘Bon Appétite.’ Her works has previously screened at Fright Fest, Slamdance, Raindance, BiFan and LSFF.’
