Frightfest London preview: Bite Simon Fitzjohn August 10, 2015 Film4 Frightfest, London, London Previews 2018 Providing a welcome dose of body horror shenanigans for the London horror shindig, Chad Archibald’s Bite looks set to be one of the more icky films on show. Having already gone down a storm at Fantasia last month (a screening that saw two audience members faint if rumour be believed), Bite gets its UK premiere in the capital on Monday, August 31. Here’s a synopsis: While on her bachelorette party getaway, Casey, the bride to be, gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding but before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect like traits. Between her physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her new instincts and begins creating a hive that not only houses her translucent eggs, but feeds on the flesh of others. As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite. Director Archibald delivered the goods with The Drownsman (which hit Frightfest last year), so we have really high hopes for this one. Bite stars the likes of Elma Begovic, Annette Wozniak and Jordan Gray, and here’s a trailer:
