I know every fanboy/girl and their dog has seen this by now, but here’s the trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming comic-book offering Deadpool anyway.

And I know, if you’re reading this, then you probably already know the synopsis, but here’s that as well:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Reynolds is clearly looking to banish the bad taste left over from The Green Lantern (which gets sideways referenced in the trailer), and we ‘re happy to cut him some slack – especially considering his turn in The Voices earlier this year.

The likes of Morena Baccarin and Gina Carano also star, with Tim Miller behind the camera.

The trailer seems to have gone down really, really well since it debuted at Comic Con and it does look good – in fact, my only fear is that the whole thing will try too ‘hard’ to be cool and end up nothing of the sort.

Set for a February 2016 bow, here’s the trailer:
