Frightfest London preview: Never Let Go Simon Fitzjohn July 21, 2015 Film4 Frightfest, London, London Previews 2233 We’re big fans of the Ford Brothers here at Movie Ramblings towers, thanks in the main to their stunning zombie opus The Dead, back in the day. Which explains why we’re well up for Howard’s next offering, Never Let Go. A real change of pace, the film centres on single-mother Lisa (Angela Dixon), who is forced to take the law into her own hands after her child is abducted. Howard explained: “Having nearly lost my own child whilst on holiday in Malta, I have experienced briefly first hand that feeling of all-encompassing dread as you fear the absolute worst. I became intrigued by this overpowering state that I was in where I would have done absolutely anything morally right or wrong to get back my son and wanted to try and capture that feeling on film. Also, women can endure things physically and mentally that us men could never go through and I wanted to explore this inner strength surfacing and the most impossible of situations.” Shot in Morocco, the film lands at Frightfest on August 28 for its world premiere – and here’s the trailer to tide you over until then:
