A mix of serial-killer chiller and supernatural shocker, Aussie flick Inner Demon will look to continue the recent spate of horror hits from Down Under that have screened at Frightfest (think The Babadook, 100 Bloody Acres etc).

Getting its UK premiere in London, the film marks director Ursula Dabrowsky’s follow-up to Family Demons and showcases an eye-catching turn from Sarah Jeavons in the lead role.

Here’s the synopsis:

‘Sam is abducted one night along with her younger sister by a feral serial-killing couple.

Escaping from the boot of their car, she finds refuge in an isolated farmhouse, only to discover it is home to even greater horrors.

As the spectre of her own mortality looms large, Sam must confront a nightmare scenario where the building terror twists in ever astounding directions.’

Inner Demon screens at Frightfest in the Main Screen on Sunday, August 30.
