Billed as a mash-up of Maniac Cop and Taxi Driver, French horror Night Fare cruises into Frightfest for its UK premiere on Monday, August 31.

Coming courtesy of Paris-born director Julien Seri, Night Fare is a bloody, full-throttle tale of revenge starring British actor Jonathan Howard (of Thor: The Dark World) and mixed-martial arts star Jess Liaudin among others.

Here’s the synopsis:

Two guys in love with the same mademoiselle on their way to a party duck out of a Parisian taxi without paying the fare. Very bad move as they have chosen the wrong taxi driver to upset.

Keeping the meter running the mystery motorist hunts them down all night long killing everyone that gets in his way. Soon Chris and Luc start to realise the driver has other far more shocking plans for their future.

We’ve got the trailer here and truth be told, we love it, with the film looking as though it could well live up to its claim of being a ‘chic collision of gore, fear and thrills’.
