Bridge of SpiesBridge of Spies trailer Colin D Miller June 5, 2015 Latest News and Videos 2034 The first trailer for Spielberg’s upcoming Cold War drama Bridge of Spies has been released. On the whole, Spielberg and Hanks have a good track record together. Sure the Terminal was a bit average, but both Saving Private Ryan and Catch Me If You Can were personal favourites. So hopefully, this latest project will recapture the magic of those two films. It’s also rather enticing that this is a Coen Brothers scripted film, so all the elements for an entertaining watch are in place. The official synopsis reads as follows: A dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic events, DreamWorks Pictures/Fox 2000 Pictures’ “Bridge of Spies” tells the story of James Donovan, a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the release of a captured American U-2 pilot. Screenwriters Matt Charman and Ethan Coen & Joel Coen have woven this remarkable experience in Donovan’s life into a story inspired by true events that captures the essence of a man who risked everything and vividly brings his personal journey to life. Starring Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance and Sebastian Koch, the Coen Brothers scripted film is due for release on 16th October 2015.
