I’m sure, like me, you all love a good slice of underground horror, whether it be the likes of crazed creatures (The Descent) or crazed killers (My Bloody Valentine).

Well, looking to put a new spin on things is Ben Ketai’s Beneath, supposedly ‘inspired by true events’.

Here’s the spiel:

A crew of miners become trapped 600 feet below the surface after the ground above them collapses. As the air grows increasingly toxic and time begins to run out, they slowly descend into madness and start to turn on each another.

The trailer, which we’ve included below, delivers the goods, hinting at a real claustrophobic feel without giving too much away.

Starring the likes of Brent Briscoe and Kurt Caceres, Beneath is unearthed on DVD via Arrow Films on April 20 (digital on April 6).
