I admit, I was one of those that liked Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol – I mean, really liked it.

Whether that was due to low expectations I’m not exactly sure, but the fourth outing in the series really hit the spot for me.

Which is why I’m up for whatever Cruise and co come up with next, and I like the look of what I’m seeing in this first trailer.

Here’s the synopsis:

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION reunites star Tom Cruise with Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames, and adds to the cast Rebecca Ferguson and Alec Baldwin.

Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate, an International rogue organization, as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.

And here’s the trailer:

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation lands in cinemas on July 30.
