Just when you think things can hardly get more ludicrous (and entertaining), along comes the Fast & Furious 7 (or Furious 7) Super Bowl TV spot to blow the lid off things.

Featuring cars jumping between skyscrapers (yep), along with plenty of surly, gruff dialogue teasing a showdown between Vin Diesel and gang and series joinee Jason Statham, this minute-long promo hits all the right spots.

There’s also some waffle about the importance of ‘family’, allowing some loving close-ups of the late Paul Walker, which I’m sure fans will enjoy.

To be honest, I can’t help but admire the F&F franchise – this was a series that seemed out on its feet about a decade ago, but seems to keep getting bigger and better.

Fast & Furious 7, directed by James Wan, hits cinemas in April.
