If, like us here at Movie Ramblings towers, you like nothing more than throwing your support behind somebody trying to make waves in the horror genre, we’ve got a doozy for you.

Having already wowed us with her three short films to date, director (and friend of the site) Katie Bonham is now prepping her fourth opus, the intriguing-sounding ‘Keepsake’.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

“A woman claims that a poltergeist haunting her house is the spirit of her dead husband and allows him to take reign of the household. Is this violent poltergeist her beloved or something more sinister?”

Bonham is pushing the boat out for this one – the film is intended as a 15-20 minute project, and will feature the likes of Nicholas Vince, star of Hellraiser/Hellraiser II/Nightbreed and much more.

Unsurprisingly, getting all this off the ground is a costly affair, and Katie will be using Kickstarter to try and see her vision come to fruition.

And we reckon this is one person worth opening your wallet for – Bonham is talented, knows and loves the genre inside out and is a pretty cool cat to boot.

But don’t just take our word for it – Bonham’s second flick, The Porcelain Ground, made it on to Frightfest’s Shortcuts To Hell DVD compilation, while her most recent film, The Paper Round, has been selected to get its world premiere at this month’s Frightfest Glasgow event.

Here’s the Kickstarter page, which features all the details on the awesome rewards that Katie has lined up for donors – so what are you waiting for?
