Having stormed its way to being the biggest box office hit of 2014 in the US, sequel The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt 1 will make its bow on DVD/Blu-ray in March.

Loaded with deleted scenes, audio commentaries and making ofs, the disc will stoke the anticipation for Part 2, set for cinemas later this year.

You’ve probably been under a rock if you don’t know the storyline by now, but here’s the synopsis:

“The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire withThe Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever.

Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay byDanny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producerJon Kilik.”

To be fair, we didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first two instalments, but it was certainly a worthy blockbuster, and will probably make waves again when it hits shelves on March 16.
