It’s being trumpeted as one of the most important horror films set to land in 2015, so it would be pretty rude of us not to feature the new international trailer for It Follows on our site.

Having wowed audiences already at a few festivals (including the London Film Festival), director David Robert Mitchell’s shocker seems set to make waves, thanks to an unusual approach to the genre.

Here’s some blurb on the film:

After a strange sexual encounter, a teenager finds herself plagued by disturbing visions and the inescapable sense that something is following her. For 19-year-old Jay (Maika Monroe), the fall should be about school, boys and weekends at the lake. Yet, after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter she suddenly finds herself plagued by nightmarish visions; she can’t shake the sensation that someone, or something, is following her. As the threat closes in, Jay and her friends must somehow escape the horrors that are only a few steps behind.”

We’re already avowed Monroe fans here at Movie Ramblings, thanks to her ace turn in the ludicrously-entertaining The Guest earlier this year, so we eagerly await this one when it lands in the UK on February 27.
