Johnny Depp’s rambling speech at the Hollywood Film Awards last week may not exactly have been his finest hour, but at least he can console himself with the fact that the publicity campaign for his upcoming Mortdecai has moved up a notch.

After some nifty promo posters, here’s a full length trailer for the film, set to hit cinemas on January 23.

In case you have no idea just what the film is about, here’s the synopsis:

Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumoured to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.

Directed by David Koepp, Mortdecai also stars the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor and Olivia Munn.
