It’s been a while since we’ve had a good slice of Egyptian horror, but producer Alexandre Aja and director Gregory Levasseur are looking to put that right which fright flick The Pyramid, set for release on December 5.

We actually featured the first trailer a while back on the site, but now Fox have released this featurette, with the likes of Aja, Levasseur and star Denis O’Hare discussing the film’s mythology.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:

The ancient wonders of the world have long cursed explorers who’ve dared to uncover their secrets. But a team of U.S. archaeologists gets more than they bargained for when they discover a lost pyramid unlike any other in the Egyptian desert. As they unlock the horrific secrets buried within, they realize they aren’t just trapped, they are being hunted.

The film also stars the likes of James Buckley and Ashley Hinshaw.
