Let’s face it, you’d have to be a pretty dour film fan to not get at least a little bit excited when a new Michael Mann film rolls around.

After all, this is the director that has brought us the likes of Heat, Collateral, The Insider and much, much more over the years.

So we’re well up for Blackhat, his latest hi-tech thriller that shoves Chris Hemsworth into a much-needed non-super hero lead role.

Hemsworth plays a convicted computer hacker, offered a route out of prison by the authorities, in return for helping them track down a high-level cybercrime operation, all the way from Chicago to Los Angeles, Hong Kong to Jakarta.

The trailer throws up the usual Mann mix of seriousness, weaponry and trademark colour schemes and looks pretty tasty if you ask us.

Also starring the likes of Viola Davis and Tang Wei, Blackhat hits cinemas on 20 February 2015.
