Anchor Bay Entertainment UK have released the first two stills from their homegrown production of World War Dead.

The film follows a TV Documentary team travelling to the Somme to put together a ratings smash about new mysteries relating to the infamous World war 1 battle. However, what they unearth is far from a new story of those that died 100 years ago – but an army of the undead and a brand new war.

The images don’t give too much away, but suffice to say this flick looks set to be a very different way of looking back at the conflict.

Co-directed by Freddie Hutton-Mills and Bart Ruspoli and starring the likes of Ray Panthaki and Wendy Glenn (who we absolutely loved in recent splatter classic You’re Next), World War Dead is set for release in early 2015.
