The marketing machine for the new instalment in the Apes saga continues apace, with the latest offering being a brand-spanking new trailer for the upcoming release.

Offering a much greater insight into the plot developments than previous teasers, the promo shows us a world where humans and apes are living together in a fragile peace, having seen much of the planet decimated by the virus that popped up at the end of the 2011 film.

Wouldn’t you know though, that peace is not going to last, with Caesar and the apes coming up against the surviving humans in what would appear to be a bloody battle for domination.

Starring the likes of Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and, of course, Andy Serkis, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes hits UK cinemas on July 17.
