Latest: First poster drops for Denzel Washington’s The Equalizer Simon Fitzjohn April 17, 2014 Latest News and Videos 1721 Okay, so I know on this very site before we’ve gone on the record as saying that, for us, The Equalizer will always mean Edward Woodward looking moody and that magnificent Stewart Copeland theme tune (in fact, I’m listening to it while I’m typing this and still getting the shivers). But that doesn’t mean we’re not looking forward to seeing what Denzel Washington does with the role – far from it. Which is why we’re happy to see the first teaser poster pop up for the October release – and we admit we like it. Simple, but effective. The theme has been tweaked this time around, with Washington’s Robert McCall a former black ops commando now living the quiet life in Boston, forced out of retirement to square off against Russian mobsters. Also starring the likes of the ubiquitous Chloe Moretz, Marton Csokas and Bill Pullman, and directed by Antoine Fuqua, let’s hope for good things.
