Production Photo: Blade Runner (1982) Colin D Miller November 11, 2013 Production Photograph 3261 It’s no secret that Harrison Ford and Ridley Scott did not see eye to eye while filming Blade Runner and this shot certainly shows that. Harrison Ford looks absolutely shattered. According to the imdb.com trivia page, Harrison Ford found the shoot so gruelling that he refused to talk about it for several years and it wasn’t until 2007 that he broke his silence over the shoot during the seminal DVD documentary Dangerous Days: The Making of Bladerunner. While they’ve reportedly reconciled, they are still in public disagreement as to whether Deckard is a replicant or not. Ridley Scott says he is, Harrison says he is not. Us? We don’t know. We do know that is an amazing piece work that has many layers to it and that with each viewing, it not only improves but brings something new to the experience. This shot was most likely taken during the time they were shooting Rutger Hauer’s famous and improvised “Tears in the Rain” scene. Here it is for your enjoyment. SPOILER, this is one of the final scenes of the film, so if you have not seen it yet (and seriously, why not?), don’t say we didn’t warn you.
