Anticipation is building for the next entry in the Hobbit saga, with The Desolation Of Smaug set for cinema release on December 13.

Obviously we were treated to the trailer a while back, but Warners have upped the ante again by releasing a brand-spanking three minute extended trailer, which they are liking to bill a ‘sneak peek’.

‘Smaug’ continues the epic adventures of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), once again joining the likes of Gandalf and the Dwarf horde as they look to regain the Dwarf kingdom of Erebor.

Naturally this brings them up against the dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch), with set-pieces a-plenty if this footage is anything to go by.
