Clearly looking to cash in on the enormous market for testosterone-fuelled, burning rubber epics blazed by the Fast & Furious franchise, computer game adaptation Need For Speed has unleashed its first trailer.

Starring Aaron Paul, currently riding high thanks to everyone cheesing over the Breaking Bad finale, the film looks to offer up the usual tale of revenge and retribution – along with plenty of vehicular mayhem.

Truth be told, with the solemn voiceover and classical music this trailer comes across as straying very close to parody, but the action certainly looks impressive enough.

Also starring the likes of Dominic Cooper and Michael Keaton and directed by Scott Waugh (who helmed 2012’s military flick Act Of Valor), Need For Speed hits cinemas on March 14, 2014.
