Video: Trailer lands for Luc Besson action comedy The Family Simon Fitzjohn September 25, 2013 Latest News and Videos 2213 Boasting a stellar cast, executive produced by Martin Scorsese and directed by Luc Besson, action comedy The Family certainly comes with pedigree. Robert De Niro plays Giovanni Manzoni, a mafia boss, who, after snitching on his crew, is forced to set up home in France with a new identity. Joining Manzoni (now known as Fred Blake) are his wife, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, and his two children, all under the watchful eye of Agent Stansfield (Tommy Lee Jones). But, surprise surprise, before long the mob get wind of their new whereabouts, leading to a slam-bang showdown. The trailer throws up a few laughs and a few explosions, and De Niro can do this sort of stuff in his sleep. Besson and Scorsese make for an interesting pair, so this will certainly be worth keeping an eye on, with The Family set for a November 22 release.
