OK, I think it is fair to say that the remake/reboot of Robocop has hardly got the best buzz of any genre film lately.

From the outrage that the 80s classic is being remade at all, through to the whining about the new suit, things have got pretty hostile for the Joel Kinnaman-starrer.

Well, the new trailer has landed online looking to put people’s minds at ease and, to be fair, it looks pretty nifty.

Yes, I am sure we still have issues that the film even exists, but take a look at the action, the cast and the overall tone of the trailer and things suddenly have a more positive spin.

Directed by Jose Padilha and starring the likes of Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson, Michael Keaton and Abbie Cornish, Robocop is due to land in February 2014.
