Video: The Wicker Man – Final Cut trailer Colin D Miller August 31, 2013 Latest News and Videos 3068 A new trailer has been released for The Wicker Man: Final Cut. Painstakingly remastered and featuring footage that was removed by distributors in order to play the film in a double-bill, this original edit has been approved for release by the films original director Robin Hardy. If you’ve never actually seen The Wicker Man (and with this upcoming release there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t check it out), the film follows Edward Woodward’s devoutly Christian police Sergeant, Neil Howie. Arriving at a remote Scottish Island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl called Rowan Morrison, both his faith and his wits are tested as he realises that there is more to the case and the island than is initially apparent. Featuring career defining turns from Edward Woodward, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland, The Wicker Man: Final Cut hits cinemas on 27th September and arrives on Blu-ray/DVD on 14th October. You can currently watch the Nicholas Cage remake on Netflix, but we recommend you don’t.
