Having done the rounds at a few horror festivals, including Glasgow’s Frightfest back in February, director Nicolas Lopez’s earthquake gorefest Aftershock will now be getting a full UK release in August.

Starring none other than horror guru Eli Roth, the film centres on a group of thrill-seekers in Chile, who seem to be having the greatest of times – until an enormous earthquake reduces the city to rubble.

With a landscape of death and destruction, with looters and escaped convicts on their tail and the aftershock expected at any time, this is a desperate battle for survival against a very different backdrop.

The film, which also stars the likes of Andrea Osvart and Ariel Levy, will hits cinemas on August 16 before getting a DVD and Blu-ray release on August 19.
