We love indulging in a bit of Euro horror now and again, and Spain seems to be where it is at at present.

Well, the great news is that Frightfest have come up with a world premiere this time around – and one that looks as though it could very easily push all the right buttons.

This creepfest follows Anna, a student who decides to take on some nanny duties as a way of earning some extra cash.

But, before long, she realises she has entered a world of obsession and misery, complete with creppy dolls, demented divas – and plenty of violence by the looks of it.

OK, so the trailer will be lost on people (like us) that cannot speak Spanish, but it is fair to say the whole thing looks pretty impressive and seems to come complete with a welcome ‘retro’ vibe.

Directed by Juanra Fernandez and starring Ana Turpin, Ona Casamiquela and Luisa Gavasa among others, For Elisa screens at Frightfest on Friday, August 23.
