We don’t mind admitting that 2011’s Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes really caught us by surprise – in a good way.

Which is why we are now pretty excited about the follow-up, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes.

The Matt Reeves-directed sequel/prequel has been doing the rounds at Comic Con this weekend, with the launch of a new viral video.

It doesn’t give much away, but focuses on the Simian Flu angle that featured at the conclusion of the last film.

 

Some of the cast were also there doing the rounds, prepping fans for the next instalment, which seeks to fill in the gap between the 2011 flick and the 1968 classic, with humanity fighting a resistance against the now-powerful apes.

Those lucky guys at ScreenRant got to speak to Andy Serkis and producer Dylan Clark about the 2014 release – here’s their video below:
