Video: Joel Kinnaman talks Robocop reboot Simon Fitzjohn July 20, 2013 Latest News and Videos 2170 The upcoming remake/reboot of Robocop was one of the key movies doing the rounds at Comic Con this year, with the film bringing a panel of its stars to San Diego. Heading up that crew was Joel Kinnaman, who we here at Movie Ramblings are already fans of thanks to his turns in TV fare like The Killing and current big screen thriller Easy Money. Kinnaman takes on the mantle of Alex Murphy this time, stepping into the suit of Peter Weller for the futuristic crime fighting action epic. Anybody like us, that were able to enjoy the original when it crashed into cinemas in 1987, probably hold director Paul Verhoeven’s blood-splattered opus very close to their hearts. But with the likes of Samuel L Jackson, Michael Keaton and Gary Oldman fleshing out the cast, and director Jose Padilha at the helm, we have our fingers crossed for good things come February next year. Anyhow, IGN got to have a chat with Kinnaman about the film and his role – and here’s the video:
