The first trailer for director Joon-ho Bong’s futuristic action thriller Snowpiercer has landed, promising all sorts of crazy action.

Set in 2031 aboard a train making its way through snow-covered regions, the passengers would appear to be the last inhabitants of earth after an ice age has all but wiped out humanity.

To be fair the trailer doesn’t give too much away, but visually it looks great and if it comes from the director of The Host and Mother, well, we’re in.

Snowpiercer, based on a French graphic novel, stars among others Chris Evans, John Hurt, Jamie Bell and Tilda Swinton and gets a release later this year.
