Here at Movie Ramblings, we were big, big fans of the Ford Brothers’ cracking zombie yarn The Dead, which wowed us a while back.

So it is little surprise that we are pretty stoked for the follow-up, which shifts the action from Africa to India.

And the good news is this first full-length trailer delivers the goods, as we follow American engineer Nicholas Burton (Joseph Millson), trekking across an apocalyptic landscape in a desperate bid to reach his pregnant girlfriend.

The first installment was a hard-hitting, pulse-pounding affair that offered an emotional tale as well as a thrilling one, so let’s hope for more of the same.

Howard J Ford said: “We have upped our game immensely in scale and adrenaline-fuelled action sequences with some terrifying situations in locations never before seen in the genre.

“Strap in and get ready for an epic journey.”

Now doing the rounds at Cannes, The Dead 2: India should hopefully get a release later this year.
