The Collector was a pretty effective horror when it was released back in 2009, a nice slant on the torture porn genre that pervaded horror cinema during that time.Collection_3dpack

Well, four years on and sequel The Collection is about to be unleashed on the shores on DVD, promising even more bloodshed.

Once again directed by Marcus Dunstan and written by Patrick Melton, star of the original Josh Stewart is also back for the ride, forced to lead a search party on the hunt for the collector after he abducts the daughter of wealthy Peters (Christopher McDonald).

That all sounds fine – but naturally the collector has his prey stashed in an abandoned hotel-turned-torture-chamber, rigged with deadly traps.

Expect plenty of carnage when The Collection hits shelves on April 29.
