There’s been teasers, a fairly neat poster campaign and plenty of suggestion, and finally the full-length trailer for the remake of Carrie has arrived.

And by full-length I mean full-length, with this two-and-a-half-minute promo basically running through the entire film from start to finish – albeit rapidly.

Yes, I know this is a remake, so everybody knows what it is all about and so on, but if that is the case – why do this? Surely a more cryptic trailer would have been more effective?

Having said all that, with Chloe Moretz in the the title role and Julianne Moore taking on Piper Laurie’s 1976 part of domineering mother there’s some decent acting chops on display here.

Carrie hits cinemas in time for Halloween in October.
