What appears (if the trailer is anything to go by anyway) something resembling an old-school John Woo film on the streets of London, Welcome To The Punch opens in UK cinemas next Friday, March 15.

James McAvoy stars as the very hard-named Max Lewinsky, a detective still mulling over the failure to catch his nemesis, Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong).

Lewinsky gets a chance to redeem himself though when a heist gone wrong in the capital lures Sternwood back to the big smoke, setting the scene for an explosive showdown.

McAvoy has proved he can handle this run and gun style in the likes of Wanted and as for Strong, well he can carry this material in his sleep.

Directed by Eran Creevy and exec-produced by Ridley Scott, we have a video from this week’s premiere when a host of the film’s stars turned up to chip in.
