Paramount have begun to crank up the hype ahead of the release of the new Star Trek flick with the debut of a pretty nifty motion poster.

Essentially the regular poster with added depth, the image once again has the menacing Benedict Cumberbatch surveying the destruction around him.

Set for a May 17 release, Star Trek: Into Darkness was already pretty high on the anticipation scale, but the recent news of director JJ Abrams moving on to helm the next Star Wars adventure adds a whole new layer to a film that is promised to be a pretty dark offering.
