A mix of high school high-jinks and full-blown gore, or Shaun Of The Dead meets Breakfast Club if the advertising blurb is to be believed, Detention Of The Dead promises an entertaining mix of laughs and cares.

A gang of kids, preparing for detention, soon find themselves in an unlikely, and desperate, battle for survival after a zombie apocalypse just happens to erupt on their doorstep.

The trailer showcases the usual smattering of characters we see in films of this ilk, with in-jokes thrown in for good measure – the Savini Library anyone?

Starring the likes of Jacob Zachar, Christa B Allen and Alexa Nikolas, and directed by Alex Craig Mann, Detention Of The Dead seems well-suited to the late night slot it has been granted – screening at Frightfest on Friday, February 22.
