Ever heard of the phrase ‘less is more’?

Well, I don’t think the makers of Olympus Has Fallen have, if their decision to unleash a two-minutes plus trailer that walks you through the entire plot is anything to go by.

Starring a heavyweight cast that includes the likes of Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman, this is an action-tastic affair that centres on a terrorist attack on the White House, putting the president (Eckhart) at risk.

Luckily for him former Presidential guard Mike Banning (Butler) just happens to be around, giving him the chance to bring the bad guys to justice.

To be honest, the movie Under Siege kept rolling around in my head as I watched this, most notably in the round table phone conversation between the chiefs of staff and Banning on the ground.

There also appears to be a veritable array of cheese on offer, so let’s hope this Antoine Fuqua-directed flick is at least a load of fun when it hits cinemas later this year.
