OK, so perhaps we didn’t quite like V/H/S as much as most others seem to (check out our review below).vhs-invite-ticket-version-4-web

But we have to admit that the hype and buzz surrounding the multi-director effort certainly gave the horror genre a welcome shot in the arm.

Well, things are going to get even better in January when the release of the film in UK cinemas (and then shortly after on DVD) will be celebrated by a one-off, ultra-cool retro night that will take attendees back to the exploitation heyday of the 80s.

On Wednesday, January 16, Blackhall Studios in London will become ‘Cellar Rentals’ – a mock video rental store specialising in all the gory favourites we all know and love.

V/H/S will be screened at the ‘store’, with the even cooler news that all guests will get a limited-edition copy of the film on big-box tape – which we can all agree is pretty neat.

Only 300 tickets/videos are available for this event, so if you fancy seeing V/H/S two days before its official release and enjoy an evening wallowing in the excesses of yesteryear, then head to www.agmp.co.uk to book tickets.
