I must admit I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Whether it be his WWE days, or his big-screen antics in the likes of Faster, Welcome To The Jungle or Fast & Furious, Johnson cuts a charismatic figure, with the charm to match his brawn.

Well, the star will hit cinemas again next year in Snitch, an action-thriller supposedly based on true events.

The Rock plays a father who goes undercover among the drug cartels for the DEA as a way of freeing his son, imprisoned for ten years after being set up in a drug deal.

Johnson is surrounded by top talent in this one, including the likes of Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper and The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal.

The trailer also suggests a pleasing amount of action, so let’s hope for good things some February 2013.
