I must be honest, the prospect of another ‘reboot’ of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise hardly fills me with excitement.

But what I think hardly matters does it, so come January 2013 the latest in the series, Texas Chainsaw 3D, will be revving up and buzzing into cinemas.

To be fair, some tasty chainsaw deaths could work quite nicely in that format, so let’s hope this take on Leatherface doesn’t wimp out on the gore.

Directed by John Luessenhop and starring Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde and series veteran Bill Moseley among others, at least this version has to be better than Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2….doesn’t it?
