It’s Brits ahoy on the opening night of this year’s Frightfest, with The Seasoning House and Cockneys vs Zombies followed by this slice of horror comedy.

An Irish/British production, the film tells the tale of a sleepy fishing village who find themselves coming up against a very different type of foe – and has been dubbed as ‘Father Ted vs Aliens’.

It all starts with a meteor strike, and before long fisherman are going missing in murky circumstances.

It soon becomes obvious the town is under alien attack, a situation that becomes even more bizarre when the locals discover their only real weapon is booze.

Directed by Jon Wright and starring Richard Coyle and Ruth Bradley, Grabbers will feature at London’s Frightfest on August 23.
