Fans of genre directors the Manetti Brothers are in for a real treat at Frightfest, as not only is the festival screening their new opus, Paura 3D, but also their recent hit, The Arrival of Wang.

Another flick that wowed the crowds at Glasgow’s mini festival earlier this year, this is sci-fi with a difference.

Chinese language interpreter Gaia is hired to carry out a hush-hush translation assignment in an underground Rome location.

Told merely that she is translating an interview with a ‘Mr Wang’, the pitch black room ensures that the subject being interrogated remains a mystery.

But what happens next will not only change Gaia’s life, but all life on earth as well.

At a brisk 82 minutes, this sci-fi chiller should hit the spot when it screens at Frightfest on Saturday, August 25.
