Fantasy favourite Michael Biehn picks up the directorial reins with The Victim, which gets its UK premiere at Frightfest.

And, having starred in the recent Rodriguez/Tarantino funfest Grindhouse, Biehn decides to run with that in his own ode to 70s exploitation.

After her best friend is raped and murdered in the woods by cops, stripper Annie finds her own life in jeopardy.

On the run from the corrupt police, she stumbles across ex-con Kyle (played by Biehn) who may offer her solace.

Soon a battle of wits and brawn ensues as the sides collide, with plenty of blood being shed.

Starring Halloween fan favourite Danielle Harris, as well as Jennifer Blanc from Frightfest hit The Divide, The Victim looks as though it packs plenty of bang for your buck.

The film screens at Frightfest on Friday, August 24.
