Lovers of 2006 horror hit The Hamiltons are in for a treat at Frightfest as organisers have got their mitts on this year’s follow-up, The Thompsons.

Switching the action from the US to England and taking a new name, the cursed blood-drinkers descend on the quietvillageofLudlow.

They are promised help by the Stuart family, but as the plot unravels it appears as though there may be more to their new friends than meets the eye.

It all builds to a survival showdown where only one clan is likely to emerge victorious.

The original cast all return for this sequel, with the likes of Cory Knauf, Samuel Child and Mackenzie Firgens resuming their roles as the Hamiltons/Thompsons.

Directed by the Butcher Brothers, who came up with the interesting (if flawed) The Violent Kind, The Hamiltons screens at Frightfest on Sunday, August 26.
